Our Support - UILIB's Defaults

From a legal prospective, we can't record any sensitive users' data and store it in fullstory servers.
Hence, we need an easy way to "mask" the sensitive data.
As a component library, we aimed to provide you an easy way to control the recorded content.
To do so, we categorized our components into four categories:

1. Masked - Components that will be masked in recorded sessions, since they contain sensitive content. for example: MediaItem and PhoneInput.
2. Masked by default - Components that will be masked by default, since they'll contain sensitive content in a high probability, but you can modify it, according to your use case; for example: Text, Image and TextField.
3. Unmasked by default - Components that will be unmasked by default, since in most of the cases they're not containing any sensitive content, but you can modify it according to your use case; for example: Button, Label and Banner.
4. Unmasked - Components that will be unmasked in recorded sessions, since they won't contain any sensitive content. for example: TabController and RadioButton.

How can I use it?

All the recorded sessions are fully masked by default.
To Get UILIB’s defaults for a specific screen, you should opt-in by passing the enableRecording option to its asWixScreen options:
asWixScreen(MyScreen, {enableRecording: true}); First, your PM / UX needs to go over your product and map all the sensitive content.
Then, you'll need to modify UILIB's default accordingly.
To do that, you should pass the recorderTag prop, with the required option: 'mask' or 'unmask'.
For example:

How can I check it?

Unfortunately, there's no possibility to debug it in dev environment.
To do so, you'll have to follow the following steps:

1. Build a release version of oneApp from your branch.
2. Opt-in to the relevant experiment:
   1. Owner - specs.woa.UseWixMobileRecorder
   2. Spaces - specs.woa.UseWixMobileRecorderSpaces
   3. Dine - specs.woa.UseWixMobileRecorderDine
3. Use your product as much as you want.
4. See the recorded session through the FullStory website.

Important Notes:

• In case you saw sensitive users' data in any recorded session, please let us know asap so we can handle it accordingly.
• In case your screen contains components from many verticals, it is your responsibility to opt-in to UILIB's defaults and to QA the screen.
• If you need a FullStory account, please open a Jira ticket to the IT team.
• Please don't change the experiments audience, today we're recording only 1% of the real sessions, and only in the US, since we're limited by the capacity we have, and by privacy rules. You can only add yourself to the experiments mentioned above.
